Public liability insurance covers claims from members of the public or third parties if they are injured, or their property is damaged, because of the work we do. Many venues, landowners and local authorities ask to see it before a supplier can work on site.
We hold £10m cover across all of our services, and a copy of the certificate can be sent to you ahead of your event.
Employers’ liability insurance covers our own staff while they are working for us. It is a legal requirement for employers in the UK, and it means our team is properly covered on your site.
It is one less thing for you to check when you bring an outside team onto your event.
RAMS stands for Risk Assessment and Method Statement. The risk assessment sets out the hazards of the work and how they will be controlled; the method statement explains step by step how the work will be done safely.
We provide RAMS as standard for every event, written for your site and the services you have booked, and send them ahead of time so they can sit alongside your own event safety plan.
Our written health and safety policy sets out how we manage safety across the whole business, not just on a single job. It means everyone on our team works to the same standards, on every event.
We have staff who hold First Aid at Work certification, so there are people on our team trained to respond if someone is hurt while we are on site.
Our first aiders work alongside your event’s own medical and first aid provision, not instead of it.
ACT Awareness is counter-terrorism awareness training developed by UK Counter Terrorism Policing. It teaches people how to spot suspicious behaviour and items, and what to do if they see something.
Our team are often the first people to see vehicles and visitors arriving at an event, which makes this awareness especially valuable at gates and car parks.
NRSWA refers to the New Roads and Street Works Act, which covers work carried out on public roads. NRSWA training covers how to set out signs, cones and traffic control safely on the highway.
It matters when your event needs traffic management on the public roads leading to your site, not just inside it.
Lantra is a UK awarding body for land-based and highways skills. Members of our team hold Lantra-accredited training, which supports safe working on the outdoor and roadside sites where many events take place.
Some of our team members hold CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) cards, which show they have the training and qualifications for work on construction-type sites.
This can help where a site has build or construction areas with their own entry requirements.
A personal licence, under the Licensing Act 2003, allows a person to authorise the sale of alcohol. Our bar team includes personal licence holders, so there is always someone who understands the licensing side of running a bar.
That helps make sure alcohol is sold in line with the premises licence or event notice for your event.
Level 2 food hygiene certification covers the safe handling, storage and preparation of food. Our team holds Level 2 certification for catering and food vendor work.
It keeps your guests safe and helps your event stay on the right side of environmental health.
