Getting vehicles on and off site safely is often the first and last impression of your event. We plan how traffic arrives, flows and leaves — entry and exit points, one-way routes and clear signage for cars, campers and live-in vehicles — then put experienced, uniformed marshalls on the ground to keep it moving safely and calmly, whatever the weather or the volume of traffic.
It scales from a single access road for a private function to multi-entrance festival sites handling thousands of vehicles a day. Either way, you get the same planning discipline and the same trained team on the ground.
Arrival and departure are the busiest, highest-risk moments of any event. Our marshalls are positioned at the points that matter — site entrances, junctions, car park gates and turning points — to keep vehicles moving steadily and safely.
We plan staffing around your expected arrival and departure peaks, so there are enough people in the right places when traffic is heaviest, and we can move marshalls around as the day changes.
Good routing stops traffic backing up onto public roads and keeps vehicles and people apart on site. We plan entry points, exit points and one-way systems around your site layout, the surrounding road network and the volume of traffic you expect.
Where needed, we plan separate routes for different vehicle types so that public, staff, traders, deliveries and emergency vehicles are not all competing for the same gate.
Clear signage means fewer wrong turns, fewer questions at the gate and a smoother flow of traffic. We plan, supply and position signs so drivers know where to go well before they reach a marshall.
Signs are placed for the direction drivers are actually coming from, and adjusted if routes or car parks change during the event.
Our marshalls are experienced in event traffic and are easy to spot in branded hi-vis. They are briefed on the site plan before the event starts, so they know the routes, the car parks and who to call if something changes.
They are also the first people your visitors meet, so we expect them to be polite, calm and helpful as well as safe.
Some events need traffic management that reaches beyond the site boundary, onto the public roads that lead to it. Our team includes NRSWA training for work on public highways, so that side of the job can be planned and carried out properly.
That helps when you need signs, cones or traffic control on approach roads, or where the site entrance joins a busy public road.
Where traffic needs to be stopped or directed on the public road itself, we can provide CSAS-accredited officers. Under the Community Safety Accreditation Scheme, they hold police-granted powers to direct traffic for events, which ordinary marshalls do not.
Every event we work on comes with its own risk assessment and method statement (RAMS) for the traffic operation, written for your site rather than copied from a template.
We share it with your event safety team and, where needed, the local authority or safety advisory group, so traffic management is part of your wider event safety plan.
Our team has completed ACT Awareness (Action Counters Terrorism) training, so they know what suspicious behaviour or items can look like and what to do if they spot something.
Traffic staff are often the first to see vehicles arriving at an event, which makes that awareness especially useful at entrances and gates.
Keeping people and vehicles apart is one of the most important parts of event traffic safety. We plan where pedestrians walk and where vehicles drive, so the two only meet at controlled crossing points.
That covers the walk from the car park to the entrance, drop-off and pick-up areas, and busy periods at the end of the day when everyone is leaving at once.
