About this statement

IF IT Events is not required to publish a statement under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, because the law only applies to organisations with a turnover of £36 million or more. We publish this one voluntarily, because our clients and our team should know where we stand.

Our business

IF IT Events provides event services across the UK from our base in Farnborough, Hampshire. Our work includes event operations, traffic and car park management, marshalls, bars, catering, 4x4 logistics and drone support for festivals, corporate events, film shoots and private functions. We work with a core team plus freelance and casual event staff, and with a small number of trusted partners and suppliers.

Our commitment

We have zero tolerance for modern slavery, forced or compulsory labour, servitude and human trafficking, in our own business or anywhere in our supply chain. Everyone who works with us does so freely, is paid fairly and on time, and can leave whenever they choose.

How we recruit and treat our team

  • Everyone who works for us must be 18 or over and have the right to work in the UK, and we check this before they start.
  • We recruit directly. We never charge anyone a fee to find them work, and we never hold anyone’s passport or identity documents.
  • We pay at least the National Minimum Wage or National Living Wage, directly to the person who did the work.
  • We give clear information about pay, hours, breaks and what each job involves before anyone accepts work.
  • We provide training and the right equipment for every role, including first aid and emergency response training.

Our partners and suppliers

Most of our suppliers are UK businesses we know and have worked with over many years. We expect every partner and supplier to share our zero-tolerance approach, and we will stop working with anyone we find using forced labour or exploiting workers.

Spotting and reporting concerns

Large events bring together many teams and contractors, so we brief our supervisors to look out for signs that someone may be being exploited, such as a worker who seems controlled by someone else, has no access to their own pay or documents, or appears fearful.

Anyone, whether a member of our team, a client or a member of the public, can raise a concern with us in confidence at [email protected]. Nobody will be treated unfairly for raising a concern in good faith. You can also contact the Modern Slavery & Exploitation Helpline on 08000 121 700, or call 999 if someone is in immediate danger.

Reviewing this statement

We review this statement every year, and sooner if our business changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
